Pure birch Chaga Mushroom harvested in remote Northern Michigan. Each conk is thoroughly examined before being removed from the tree to ensure that it is healthy and free of mold and bugs. This allows less desirable conks to continue to grow and spread. Once harvested the conks are washed and cleaned of any bark and cut into appropriately one inch pieces. After it is dried and bagged in a heat sealable bage to garentee freshness and to ensure the product is not tampered with during transit. The small pieces are perfect for steeping or can easily be ground into powder. The chaga is big enough though that you can easily see that it is good clean chaga and not dirty and poor quality.
